Session Three Hudson Bay Company: The Loop (DWO)

The Loop (DWO)

Group of smiling friends on a wooden dock

Hello,

Natasha here from Camp Temagami. I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about the trip we just completed with HBC! This summer, we ventured to Diamond, Wakimika, and Obabika lakes. Typically known as DWO and a Camp Temagmai staple.

One of the highlights of our trip was staying at Rangers Point Campsite. The serene environment and stunning natural beauty made it a perfect spot for us to relax and enjoy nature, with panoramic lake views. But perhaps the most memorable experience was cowboy camping under the stars. There’s something magical about sleeping out in the open, with the night sky as your blanket and the sound of nature lulling you to sleep. Not for the faint of heart if the bugs are bad, but thankfully a gentle breeze is all it takes to clear the pines!

For me, the best part of the trip was watching all of you grow into amazing trippers. Seeing your enthusiasm, resilience, and camaraderie was incredibly inspiring. We shared so many fantastic moments together, and I genuinely believe that these experiences have helped each one of us grow in unique ways.

I can’t wait to see all of you again next summer. Hopefully, we can plan an even longer trip to create more wonderful memories together (wink wink). Until then, I wish you all the best for the rest of the year. Keep that adventurous spirit alive!

Take care and see you soon,

Natasha
